About the author

Michael Goulding is a full-time writer, former marketing manager and freelance journalist.

He began his career in Systems Analysis in the 1960's during the formative years of the emerging IT industry, at which time he worked with some of the leading British and American corporate enterprises. He won European Salesman of the Year and multiple Company awards for his work and performance before eventually changing direction to work in the Retail Licensed Trade. For the next ten years, he successfully managed traditional inns in England, finally acquiring one of his own, since co-owned and managed by his son and daughter.

Throughout the whole of this time he continued to pursue his first love - that of writing. He worked part-time in freelance journalism and advertising in Cornwall, the setting for "Legacy of the Sphinx", and enjoyed many successes including the publication of a national guide to traditional inns and his own series of feature magazines.

Since the publication of “Legacy of the Sphinx” in October, 2008 the author has completed a follow-up entitled "Angel of Death" in which Connor Tremayne's next assignment is the most important one he will ever undertake - and the most dangerous. The author's latest novel is an intriguing mystery in the acclaimed tradition of P. D. James entitled : "The Excombe Woods Murder" and will be available early in 2011. "Kiss Me Goodbye Forever" is the title of the third Connor Tremayne story, now in preparation.
